I’d like to introduce my hormone reset programme - for women who are struggling to lose weight, especially that stubborn weight that won’t shift around the middle. In addition, you may have aches & pains, or skin issues, either dryness or unexplained rashes, or suffer from insomnia or wake up feeling unrefreshed, do you have increased anxiety and the brain fog will not shift, if this sounds like you, then you may be experiencing hormone fluctuations associated with menopause even when this period in your life has passed.

Each week I will share advice & address the main systems that need support at this time, to help you achieve your health & weight loss goals. Our weekly sessions will focus on a specific topic in more detail, and as a result, I will deliver lifestyle tips and a selection of recipes in the form of handouts.

The weekly zoom sessions will provide a safe & supportive space to allow you to ask questions and if you wish to share your successes.

Weight loss can be challenging as you go through midlife and beyond. So we will focus on improving your metabolic flexibility by rebalancing your hormones this will not only help you to reach your weight loss goals, but it may also help to protect you from developing other diseases, as you transition through this period, in your life. For example, protection against developing heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), Alzheimer’s and even Dementia, along with other, debilitating autoimmune diseases which you may be more vulnerable to developing as a result of fluctuating hormones, Which may then be further impacted by diet and lifestyle choices that may not be suitable for you as you transition through this stage in your hormonal journey.

As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, post-menopausal woman, mother, grandmother and business owner, I’ve tackled my own menopausal mayhem journey, and it wasn’t all easy, as I too suffered from my own personal challenges and hurdles, and if I had, had the support I am offering you, it really would have been a lifeline. So I would like to share my knowledge with you to help you thrive through this final hormonal stage so that you can address and support common symptoms to help you maintain and even optimise your health so it takes out the guesswork. The changes that this hormonal stage of life brings, as you lose vital hormones can be tough on your body, making it a challenging time, both physically and mentally. So how you look after your body at this time can impact your health as you age, however transitioning through menopause need not be a negative experience.

For example, managing stress, both internally and externally is very important to maintain optimal health, and I can share with you what happened to me, and let you know the measures, I took that helped me. I’m not perfect and I haven’t always made the right choices to support my health, but sharing what I know will help you to manage your own stress levels, so you that also maximise sleep quality and this in itself will positively impact balancing your hormones and ultimately support your weight loss journey, as well as reduce or eliminate other symptoms. I don’t believe in counting ‘sins’ or calories. There is no scientific evidence to suggest how many calories you consume helps you to lose weight, as we are all unique and have our own individual metabolism. This form of diet culture only fuels and promotes disordered eating, which I wholeheartedly avoid.

The main areas of my focus include Gut health and the 3 S’s: 

  • ‘Stress’

  • ‘Sleep’ 

  • balancing blood ‘Sugar’

By addressing these main factors you will have helped to rebalance your hormones which will help improve your sleep quality, improve your mood, and increase energy, to provide you with increased stamina, so that you are able to run around after your children/grandchildren, and have the energy to be able to look after other family members that may be relying on you, You may even experience a reduction in aches and pains, and finally, achieve a steady and sustainable weight loss. This will then set the scene for your future as you are less likely to develop more serious health conditions.

Maintaining a healthy weight can be a challenge as we transition through and past menopause, and gaining weight can have a negative impact on your future health so the programme will help to protect you from developing Insulin resistance, arthritis, thyroid problems, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease being the number 1 cause of morbidity in post-menopausal women.
